Dr. Rajvaidya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Retail Management) from K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research. He has authored several research papers published in reputed international journals and presented at renowned conferences. In addition, he has conducted training programs for organizations like Wellness Forever and LIC, focusing on retail and sales strategies. Prof. Dr. Harnesh Makhija
Assistant Professor, K J Somaiya Institute of Management

Dr. Harnesh Makhija is a faculty in the Finance area at K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM), Mumbai. He has a Ph.D. in financial performance evaluation criteria from Mumbai University. He has close to a decade of teaching experience in the areas of corporate finance, project finance, project management, and financial modelling, with a keen understanding of capital markets and financial management. He did his MBA in Finance from Mumbai University, holds a NET certification from UGC, and has enrolled for PMP certification.

He conducted various training programmes for companies like Wellness Forever, Mahindra & Mahindra (Auto Division), Arkema, Godavari Biorefineries Ltd., Sujan Cooper Standard AVS Pvt. Ltd., NSE-SIMSR-certified programmes, and INS Hamla in the areas of project finance, project management, financial management, and corporate finance. He did fund research project for IRDA research grant scheme titled as “Insurance awareness among millennials: With reference to purchase and policy holders’ protection”. He is actively involved in a funded research project from Somaiya Vidyavihar University titled “M-payment adoption among vendors in India: Barriers and drivers.”

His work has been published widely in various peer-reviewed international journals. He has presented research papers at various national and international conferences. He was a guest editor of the International Journal of Business and Globalisation (InderScience Publications) and is a reviewer of several leading international journals. He is also the Board of Studies member for VPM’s Joshi Bedekar College (Autonomous), Mumbai.

His current role as Assistant Professor at K J Somaiya Institute of Management includes teaching, research, and training assignments and various committee work. He is the division in charge of a full-time MBA (Finance) course as well as an active member of the academic excellence task force.
